This page explains the purpose of the Reparations Masons within the Black Justice system. The Reparations Masons are a structured fraternal body dedicated to disciplined conduct, justice, moral order, and the advancement of reparatory justice.
Members are expected to uphold standards of discipline, personal conduct, and seriousness of purpose consistent with a fraternal order dedicated to justice.
The order provides a structured body through which reparatory justice principles can be preserved, taught, and carried forward across generations.
Masons are encouraged to join because it is assumed that the principles of masonry are grounded in justice, good conduct, order, and duty, and that reparations should therefore fall in line with the core principles of freemasonry.
The Reparations Masons do not determine liability. That remains the function of IBIS. The order instead supports the integrity, continuity, understanding, and disciplined stewardship of the reparatory justice framework.
The Reparations Masons exist to provide a disciplined fraternal structure around the principles of reparatory justice. Where justice is serious, there must also be order, continuity, standards, and duty.
The order therefore serves as a moral and organisational body for those who believe that the principles associated with masonry should align with the delivery of justice, good conduct, and the proper recognition of reparatory obligations.
