Definitions and proposed bond terms

Important: these are prototype definitions used to make the system internally coherent. They are not final contractual investment terms and do not activate an offer.

Latent Reparation Bond

A coded pre-activation record representing a proposed future financing commitment. At this stage £0 has been paid and £0 interest accrues.

Reparation Bond

A future funded debt instrument that would arise only after lawful activation, acceptance of final terms, required checks and receipt of money.

Bondholder ID

A coded participant identifier. It is distinct from the Bond ID and from any future identity/compliance record.

Bond ID

The unique identifier assigned to a particular latent bond record and used for public coded verification.

Transaction Reference

A unique reference for the creation of the latent record and, in a production system, relevant later transaction events.

Nominal / Face Value

The stated future bond amount selected for the latent record. During latency it is not cash received, invested principal, a bank balance or accrued income.

Activation

The future controlled process by which an eligible latent record could become a funded bond after all required conditions are met.

Reparations entitlement

A separate question from bond ownership. Purchasing or holding a bond does not itself create, transfer or establish entitlement to reparations.

Eligible purchaser

A person or entity permitted to participate under the final legal, regulatory, geographical and contractual rules. The model is not conceptually restricted to reparations beneficiaries.

Items that must be fixed before live activation

Return

Whether the funded bond bears interest or another permitted return; rate or calculation method; start date; payment dates; compounding, if any.

Maturity and redemption

When principal becomes repayable, whether early redemption exists, and what revenues may lawfully service the obligation.

Transferability

Whether a funded bond can be sold, assigned, gifted or otherwise transferred, and how the register records ownership changes.

Default

What constitutes default, available remedies, ranking of claims and the consequences of insufficient reparations or other designated revenues.

Cancellation

When a latent record can be cancelled, by whom, and whether cancellation extinguishes only the latent record rather than any reparations right.

Succession

How death, incapacity, corporate dissolution or other succession events affect coded records and eventual funded rights.
